Brian Byars
Certified Estate Planner

Brian is a native Atlantan, and one of the co-founders of Estate Planners of Georgia.  He has nearly fifteen years of experience in the estate and retirement planning fields.  He is a specialist on subjects that challenge retirees today, including preserving assets from the expense of nursing home care, reducing taxes on Social Security income, and increasing spend able income during retirement.  He also has an extensive background in managing estates through wills and trusts.

David Allred
Certified Estate Planner

David is a graduate of Oxford College and Emory University and brings over ten years of business ownership experience to the field of Estate & Retirement Planning.  David realized there was a tremendous need for comprehensive, competent estate planning advice during a family planning session for his Grandmother’s estate in 1995.  His background as a high-end real estate broker provides our firm with a unique ability to assist those with property concerns in their estates.  Joining the Estate Planners of Georgia team was a natural fit for David’s skills and the needs of those planning for a safe and secure retirement.

Dave Adcock
Certified Estate Planner

Dave is the newest member of the Estate Planners of Georgia team.  He brings more than twenty years of experience in business management and ownership to our team, including a background in planned giving and trusts.  Raised in Atlanta, Dave graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Business Administration and has dedicated his professional career to providing services which benefit the needs of others.

Don E. Ash
Certified Estate Planner
Registered Financial Consultant

Don is a co-founder of Estate Planners of Georgia and a native of Rome, Georgia, where he is a sole practitioner.  He has been working with seniors and retirees in his community for almost 30 years.  Don specializes his practice in the areas of Medicare and Medicaid, Estate Planning investments and Long Term Care needs.  Don is very active in the community.

Mark Lloyd

Mark is the principal owner of The Lloyd Group Inc., a long-time collaborative partner of Estate Planners of Georgia.  He has an associate staff consisting of accountants as well as a full support group to serve their clients needs.  Mark has been the featured speaker at many Estate Planning and Retirement Seminars for many years.  He is a longtime collaborative partner with Estate Planners of Georgia and The Lloyd Group hosts a robust array of legal, elder law, tax and estate planning experts under one roof in Gwinnett County.

Lori McElhaney
Office Manager

After 15 years of working as an Office Manager for Time Warner in Atlanta, Lori decided to take her managerial experience to a new level and joined our group as Office Manager.  Over the last year, she has enjoyed learning about the retirement planning business and working closely with our clients.  Not only does she manage our Covington office, but Lori also acts as Administrative Assistant to Brian, David and Dave ensuring that our clients needs are met in a timely and professional manner.

Blake Morris
Estate Planner

Blake graduated form The University of Georgia with a degree in Finance and received his MBA in 2005.  Previous to joining The Lloyd Group, he spent several years in the Insurance industry with top insurance companies including Liberty Mutual and St. Paul/Travelers.

Mike Stresser
Certified Public Accountant

Michael R. Stresser, CPA, CFE, has built a firm of highly qualified accountants and professional staff members.  Mr. Stresser received his undergraduate degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University.  He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in Georgia since 1976.  Stresser & Associates is a general practice accounting, tax and consulting firm comprised of CPAs, degreed accountants and bookkeepers. 

David Trippe
Attorney at Law

David has more than thirty years of legal experience focused in the areas of tax, trusts, family law and estate planning.  He is a graduate of Emory attaining both his Law and Master of Taxation degrees.  A member of the Georgia Bar since 1972, David is a former staff counsel of both Jimmy Carter and George Busbee.  David has been in private practice since 1976 and is admitted to practice in all Georgia and Federal trial and appellate courts as well as the US Tax Court and US Supreme Court.  We are pleased to have David’s counsel available to our clients with special taxation and family planning needs.
